The Bay of Angels.

Famous the world over, you must visit the Promenade des Anglais when you are in Nice. This avenue, built by English holidaymakers in the 19th century is on the edge of the Mediterranean and runs alongside the famous Bay of Angels.

On the other side of the street, you can admire the smart hotels and the villas of the rich and famous: The Villa Furtado-Heine, the Hôtel Westminster, the Negresco, the Villa Masséna and the Palais de la Méditerranée.

If you're feeling lucky, why not stop by the Nice Casino, or for the energetic, join the locals in rollerblading along the promenade, for a Californian feel.
