Actualidad del día : 08 Marso
International Women's Day The idea of an International Women's Day was launched at conferences and events organized by women, taking place in Europe in the early 1910s. The Tradition of Women's Day came from the demonstrations of female workers of St. Petersburg on March 8, 1917. Lenin decided that March 8 was International Women's Day in 1921. This date was formalized by the United Nations in 1977 and by France in 1982. This day needs to be celebrated more than ever today because equality of rights between men and women is still far from being achieved and because there is a regression of women's rights in many countries. |
