1942 : Germany invaded the South of France


On November 10, 1942, following the Allied landings in North Africa, German forces invaded the part of France still led by the Vichy government in order to have full access to the ports of the Mediterranean.

2007 : Why don't you just shut up?


On November 10, 2007, during the Spanish-American summit in Santiago, Chile, while the speech of Spanish Prime Minister Zapatero was constantly interrupted by Hugo Chavez, King Juan Carlos told Venezuelan President a phrase that became cult in the Hispanic countries but caused some problems in relations between Spain and some Latin American countries: ¿Por que no te callas? (Why don't you just shut up?).
