Become a beekeeper

Before you start raising bees, ask about them and visit hives. Stay informed as laws governing the beekeeping.
Then determine the number of hives you want. If you want to become a producer of honey, you will need several of them.
Buy your hives, your frames and all necessary equipment (protective clothing, smoker, tools to retrieve and filter the honey ...).
Choose a good location for your hives: sunny, near a water point but not too much open water, protected from wind and predators, not visible from a road. Do not put them near vineyards or fields of corn that are useless to bees and make sure there is no application of pesticides around.
At the time of installation in the hive, provide sugar water for your bees and verify that theydecide to stay.
To take care of your bees, the first rule is to stay calm and do nothing to give them reasons to be edgy.
