Tip of the Day : 20 April

Chit chat

No, chatting is not obvious to everyone!
Here are some tips to find out what to say when you need to have casual conversation with people you do not know well.

Start the conversation by greeting the person with a smile and introduce yourself if necessary.

Make a sincere compliment to that person to put her or him at ease.

Then, find something informal to talk about : getting news from her or his family, talking about mutual friends...

Ask questions that can not be answered by yes or no to know the person better.

Openly show interest in what the person said.

When you feel the conversation should end, tell the person you have been delighted to meet her or him and take leave with a smile, shaking hands and leaving your business card if it is a business relationship.
