Choose your garden gnome

Numerous opportunities to buy garden gnomes are available in garden centers and on the internet but the quality varies greatly among models.
Before choosing the garden gnome that you want to give to your brother in law (yes, yes, he has always dreamed of it, he just did not dare telling you), you must consider all offers. Avoid plastic garden gnomes that look like cheap toys and put your attention to those in terra cotta or ceramic. There is no need to choose a garden gnome in Gien faience because it would be a shame if it was broken in no time by Hound and Petronilla, your brother-in-law's children.
Do not select a garden gnome represented in a ridiculous position either if you do not want to be then pursued by an association for the protection of garden gnomes.
You should know that this is a companion for a lifetime, even for several generations. You should therefore also provide maintenance.
Every month, you should clean it. Avoid corrosive products and use dish soap or white vinegar instead. If you decide to dress it so that it does not catch cold, mind the style you choose to make sure hurtful remarks and taunts from visitors do not make it neurasthenic.
Also note that there are linguistic exchanges with neighboring countries, especially Germany where more than 25 million garden gnomes live.
Offer your companion a stay across the Rhine for the summer and it will be in top form for a whole year.
