1415 : Battle of Agincourt


On October 25, 1415, during the Hundred Years War, King Henry V of England, after two months of battles in France that earned him to lose half of its 11,000 men, was about to join the fleet at Calais when he was attacked by 20,000 French soldiers in Agincourt (Azincourt today). Despite their numerical superiority and better fitness, the French were massacred by the English, better positioned with more powerful weapons. After this victory, King Henry V won several other battles and was recognized heir to the throne of France in 1420.

1983 : United Stats invaded Grenada


On October 25, 1983, President Reagan ordered the invasion of Grenada by U.S. troops. Relations between the two countries deteriorated after the coup that leftist Bishop made in 1979. On October 25, 2009, a minivan and a minibus exploded near the Ministry of Justice and the Baghdad Provincial Council building. 155 people are killed and 721 others were injured.
