Description
The Promenade des Anglais is the ideal place to enjoy a family bike ride that is not too energetic! (Try to avoid July and August when it is very hot and crowded). A cycle track on the pedestrian part, with a fantastic sea view, leads you from the port to the airport.

You can either bring along your own bikes as car parking is easy or they can be hired from the shop Roller Station not far from the old town: 49 quai des Etas Unis - tel : +33 (0)4 93 62 99 05.

If you have young children they will love spending a moment on the beach throwing pebbles into the sea and you can take a break at the private beach Neptune Plage that has a kid's play area.

The Promenade des Anglais is also a good place for a stroll for kids scooters or roller skating.

Description
A multi-activity club, for the 8's and over (8 sites in the Mercantour Park), that organises all activities associated with the nature and mountains: hiking, mountain biking, via ferrata, canyoning, mountain climbing, parapente, skiing etc. Workshops are organised during the school holidays. Open all year.

Description
This private beach opposite the famous Negresco hotel has pedalos, a game area with toys on a small sandy part of the beach for children.

Someone is on hand for looking after your children aged 3 and over - reservations are compulsory one day beafore.

Open from 9am to 7.30pm, all year except in January.

CANAL DE GAIRAUT

Description
This is the ideal walk for those who do not fancy being too energetic! Ideal for push chairs it takes about 1 hr (there and back) and leads from Gairaut in Nice Nord, to the Gairaut waterfall and Rimiez. There are benches for those who need a rest and it is also good for bike rides.

Description
Via ferrata, white water activities, hikes and cannoning in the Mercantour park. Climbing wall at bd de la Madeleine in Nice. Can reserve a go on a sledge pulled by dogs. Open all year.
