Description
This farm located on top of the Col de Vence at an altitude of nearly 1000m, is home to many different farm animals (horses, donkeys, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, geese...), is open all year round at weekends and everyday during school holidays and bank holidays from between 10am and 5pm. Reservations necessary during the week. Its table d'hôtes can provide lunch for about 20€/pp but must be booked in advance.Various activities are on offer for children and adults: horse riding, American style, pony rides (8€ for 1/2 hr - you lead the pony for your child and so the ratio of 1 adult for 1 child is ideal - you can ask someone from the farm to go with you if you need an extra pair of hands but this is for an extra fee and you had better book in advance). You can also visit the farm animals (new highland cow) for 5€/adult and 4€/child. There are many walking trails leading from the farm and horse trekking with a guide for a minimum of 5 people, from 12 years old, for a whole day or half day. Price: from 50€/pp with a picnic. If going by foot leave the push chair in the car as the pathways are very stony. School holidays: horse trekking for 2 days from 14 years old. The teenagers go with a guide and sleep in tents. Barbecues. Be careful not to go with a sports car due to a bumpy stretch of the road you must take just before you arrive at the farm. You will not have a problem for other types of cars.
