The Japanese Garden
Placed in the heart of the principality of Monaco, the Japanese Garden was conceived at the request of Prince Rainier III. The landscape architect is Yasuo Beppu, he has needed more than 17 months of preparation to end the garden. It is built on an asymmetric and quasi-natural structure as well as on the basis of a garden Zen. Compound of waterfalls, beaches, brooks, the garden offers a soothing and magnificent landscape. It combines beautifully the water, plants and stone. The surface of the pond measures meadows of 1100 m² and the global nature of the garden 7 000 m². To finalize the project, the Shintoist high priest of the temple Dazaifu of Fukuoka blessed the garden, when it was finished.
