The museum is located in a small Provençal residence, typically from Saint-Tropez, in the narrow street of Etienne Bemy. The exhibition is located on two floors offering a breathtaking collection of pictorial compositions aimed butterflies by Dany Lartigue, son of the former owner of the dwelling. The artist himself has driven the specimens on display. It also describes very diversified its exposure as "an invitation to universal astonishment." Firstly, the first room is centered on butterflies from Africa, Oceania and Peru. Second, it presents the European specimens. The two rooms together offer nearly 26,000 butterflies.
