Visits and Tours
A tribute to the Monaco Princes.
The Saint-Michel Archange basilica in Menton is a nice example of Baroque architecture of the 17th century. It was built by the Genovese architect Laurent Lavagna in 1619. The interior of the Basilica, which is laid out according to a Latin cross, is inspired by the Annunziata church in Genoa.
Some of the chapels were decorated in Baroque style by local artists.
To the right of the choir, discover the Monaco Prince's chapel, with a painting of Saint Dévote.
