Wine cooler decorated with olives or sunflowers

Used in Provence to keep cool white and rosé wines, the wine cooler is an indispensable accessory for the mediterranean meal. In varnished earthenware, it is hand-turned and decorated with olives or sunflowers. The interior is not varnished to benefit from the porosity of clay. It must first be sunk in water for about an hour before serving, the water evaporates maintaining the coolness of the bottle.
