Презентация
Biot is a French commune in the dйpartement of Alpes-Maritimes and the rйgion of Provence-Alpes-Cфte d'Azur. It is located near Antibes and between the cities of Cannes and Villeneuve-Loubet. It is situated on the top of a hill, and it over looks the Mediterranean Sea.
Biot was a pottery centre from the beginning of the 16th century until the 18th century.
In the middle of the 20th century, Biot once again became famous for its pottery (decorative pottery and glassworks).
Today, Biot is well known for its glassblowers and bubble glass products. Eloi Monod started the village's glass-blowing tradition. The Fernand Lйger museum stands at the foot of the village.

Listed Ville et Mйtiers d'Art (City of Arts and Crafts), Biot owes its international renown to its tradition of glass-blowing and the production of huge earthenware jars. But this village of medieval origin is also closely linked to Fernand Lйger, whose works are displayed in a national museum nicknamed The Cathedral of Modern Art.
