Getting to the city centre from the Airport

  • Brussels Airport (BRU) 12km North-East of the centre of Brussels.

    Taxi: Taxis are always available in front of the arrivals hall. Licensed taxis can be identified from their blue and yellow badges.
    Train: The station can be found on level -1 of the airport. The "Brussels Airport Express" leaves four times per hour for Brussels North, Brussels Central and Brussels Midi.
    Bus: The bus station can be found on level 0 (under the arrivals hall) and can be accessed by escalators and lifts. The different lines in the centre of the station serve specific lines:
    - The Lijn line offers an express bus service to Brussels-North station
    - The "Airport Line" line is an express connection linking Brussels Airport and Brussels' EU district close to the tourist centre uptown in 30 mins.

  • Brussels-South Charleroi Airport (CRL) 45km South of Brussels and 6km North of Charleroi

    Train and Bus: Bus A is a direct line from the airport terminal to Charlerois station which takes 20 mins. The price of the ticket includes the bus and train transfer.
    Brussels City Shuttle: Coach shuttle scheduled for every half an hour from the airport to Brussels' main station ("Brussels Midi" station).
    Bus: The STIB (Société des Transports Intercommunaux de Bruxelles-the main public transport operator in Brussels) serves Brussels National Airport via the express line which connects the airport to the EU district, close to the city's business and tourist centre uptown, in 30 mins.
    Taxi: Taxis are always available at the terminal exit.
