The natural park of Paradou

le parc naturel du paradou
A new natural park has just opened its doors in Vallauris . Opened on July 8, 2011, it is the newest of the parks in the area, but it is also the smallest, since it is only twelve hectares wide

Despite its small size, the park will please the lovers of peace, nature and serenity. Still very little used, it is a green oasis, a remnant of an ancient horticultural farm abandoned in the 70's. You'll find great giant eucalyptus, many mimosas and even a bamboo which dominate the bush ... Hidden in the park, you can also flush out some oaks and cork oaks.

With luck, you may be able to hear a woodpecker banging on the trunk of a eucalyptus, or cross the path of a squirrel. Wildlife heritage is well represented : badgers, foxes, bats, lizards and Taranto Mauretania...

This small park has only very few leisure facilities but it is the ideal place for a walk in nature close to the shore. In addition, it offers a unique view over the bay of Vallauris , the famous Cape of Antibes and the Lerins Islands .
