Musée des timbres et des monnaies, tourism MONACO

The museum presents the collection of Prince Rainier III in two major areas. The first is the large exhibition hall houses: on the right as permanent exhibition, the coins of Monaco and the Monaco stamp production from 1885 to today, on the left is the temporary exhibition displaying the many faces of philately Monaco. In this room, there is also a tobacco press which artists are tests of punches or engravings, during special events, and then be sold to visitors. The second room is a historic post of the principality. It exposes parts of inestimable value as a copy of the first stamp issue of Sardinia from 1851.


The museum is equipped with a library, a screening room to complete the documentation and knowledge on the subject. For a moment of relaxation and restoration, a tearoom, a cafeteria and bar are also available.
