La Londe-les-Maures

Miramar, Tamaris, L'Argentière and Le Pellegrin are the names of the famous beaches that make up the sandy strip of coastline along La-Londe-Les-Maures. Views of the Porquerolles and Port Cros Islands and the Brégançon Fort provide the extra decorative touches to this area of picture postcard beauty, which also boasts winemaking expertise of historic renown.

The bucolic charm of an ancestral estate
Set on the sides of the early foothills of the Maures Mountains, Maravenne vineyard is one of the oldest estates in the region.
Its classified organically grown vintages are testimony to the estate’s celebrated winemaking skill, and are available to taste in the rural and Provençal setting of its wine cellar.

A living museum of automated winemakers
Seven years of work and the only museum of its kind in France
The museum, located in the middle of the vineyard, has 50 automated characters and animals displayed in 10 faithfully reconstructed scenes providing an hour long journey into the life of a winemaking family during the 1920s.
With the aid of an audio soundtrack recorded using actors, the automated models bring to life and recount the history and daily routine of winemaking.

The Bâteliers de la Côte d’Azur works with Destination Dauphin, an association that works for the promotion of the environment, to offer sea mammal and marine fauna observation excursions lead by scientists to the Pelagos Sanctuary, a protected marine area.
The excursion starts at 8.30am with a welcome hot drink and treat at La Londe les Maures port.
The trip to the observation site takes 45 minutes aboard the Cap au Sud and Jules Verne II boats.
After a day of marine fauna discovery and awareness building of conservation issues, return to port is at 6.30pm.
