Saint Honorat Island
Saint Honorat is separated from Saint Marguerite by 600 meters of water. The abbey of Lerins shelters Cistercians monks. The fortified monastery, of feudal architecture, sustained repeated assaults from pirates during the Middle Ages. The place is a haven designed for meditation. Indeed, as soon as you arrive here, you may feel an intense well-being. Moreover, a large number of chapels are to visit or to recollect and temporarily cut yourself off from the ever-present stress of the continent. Since they are growing vine, the monks offer tasting of fine wines and their local specialty: the Lérina liquor.
