The Riviera is the ideal place for yachting. The sun shines 300 days a year and marinas are of a good quality and of an exceptional variety. Result of a long history of resort and tourism, the ports of the Riviera acquired feature equipment and skilled staff to provide quality stays to their boaters.

The recreational activities of the ports of Cannes, Golfe-Juan, Nice and Villefranche sur Mer are managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nice Côte d'Azur.

8 ports are managed by the CANCA and federated under the label « Ports d’Azur ». They have 3000 mooring rings in total.

Antibes Ports
Four marinas and a free port are located on the coast of Antibes. They welcome all types of boats, from traditional fishing boat of the Riviera (called pointu), to the great premium yacht (up to 150 m).

- Port du Croûton : 411 moorings rings,
- Port Gallice : 524 moorings rings,
- Olivette shelter cove : 45 moorings rings.

Var


5 marinas in the Toulon roads : Vieille Darse, Toulon Darse Nord, La Seyne-sur-Mer, Saint-Mandrier, Saint-Louis du Mourillon share more than 2000 moorings, reserved for sailing yachts and motorboats. The harbor of Toulon is strategically located for boating.

The cruise business


Alpes Maritimes
With five ports that welcome cruise ships - Cannes, Golfe-Juan, Antibes, Nice and Villefranche sur mer – the Alpes Maritimes plan to host more than 660,000 passengers on 490 scheduled calls in 2011.


Var
In 2010, the Var has received an Award of the international destination of the year for its expertise in terms of organization, promotion and marketing in the cruise business.
